Topic: Rum for the Pyrate Soul!
http://www.bilgemunky.com/reviews/rum/

Bilgemonkey says this: "Call it what you will - grog, swill, Nelson's Blood - it all comes back to Rum. Rum - where all good adventures both begin and end. So grab your bottle, grab your wench. Kick off your boots and splice the mainbrace fer a spell - ye've earned it."

What do ye favor? What makes yer mouth water and ye have wet dreams of that one 'particular' hot and hellish drink?

The golden rhum known as Cask 23 arrived....and it was all and more than I'd read about and dreamed of....

It is NOT a rhum to be mixed or Blended, but to be sipped and savored. The first taste rolls across yer palate liked warm, slightly orangy/spicy silk. The second sip opens up like a pyrate sloop hoving in for the kill, with unimaginable hints of vanilla, cardamom, paprika, chocolate, anise--not strong but ghostly hints caressing your nose and palate and lingering like echoes of past glory long after you've savored the last drop.

Check out Hitime.com, but they only ship within CA.......bugger...

Pyrat XO Reserve (Most just call it Pyrat) be the best rum goin, in my way of drinkin. Of course, it's to be drunk neat, so one can enjoy the smell and savor every drop. The fun part be that when ye finish it, you still have a period hoof bottle that can be used else whar.

Pyrate XO be a fyne rhum ta drink. Now, this past fort'night, I've nosed about a homebrew establishment, who perported ingrediences ta turn 'umble vodka inner whisky/rum/gin/ect...
It only works iffen' ye have no nose an' no sense o' taste! Bloody 'ell, wif me other blends, I were finally able ta make it 'palatable'...but nowhere NEAR where it claims ta be 'Top Shelf' quality!
