Bravely repulsed Corona seafarers after minor misunderstanding; hasty in their actions, ruffians were soon controlled by their crafty leader, Greydog. Leniency granted once King's taxes paid.
This weekend past, HMS Stout recruited for seamen in the dreadfully dusty and somewhat scorched Port of Corona. Our officers were briefly accosted by a heavily armed band of rogues who sought to take Commodore Norrington and two lieutenants into custody. They bravely resisted, despite superior opposing numbers (our crew was still parking the boat) and the ruffians were soon brought about when their leader, a notorious scalliwag by the name of Martin Blackwheel, realized the folly of crossing His Majesty’s Royal Navy. This crafty fellow, commonly known as “Greydog,” mollified his ragtag crew by telling them that the officers were to be taken into “protective custody.”The officers accompanied Greydog and his band to their camp (for intelligence gathering, of course) where the villains became most hospitable, in an obvious attempt to make amends for their earlier actions - and then had the cheek to attempt to bribe the officers with a very large pot of (obviously stolen) doubloons under the table!Greydog later attempted to extract a reward and a commendation from the officers.Indeed! The whole lot of them was sternly admonished, but pardoned for their boisterous and drunken behavior, as they have potential for future service to the Crown.
The Crew of the Orange Mermaid wishes to thank the crew of HMS Stout for the invaluable assistance they rendered to us on the 28th of June this year in the defense of the Crown Colony of Long Beach. The timely intervention of the HMS Stout's landing party prevented an unruly mob from over taking the landward defense of the harbor during a period of attack from the sea by a Spanish Raider. The assistance of HMS Stout enabled a successful defense of the Colony and the Governor Himself wishes to also express his gratitude.
YYAARRrrrrrrr Mr. Ash , I see that me letting you have me protection at the Port o Long Beach helped. You were able to get out alive !!! I be looking in me spy glass for you again soon. Cptn. Sam "Iron" Flint , ESQ.
Tis with great feelin of respect that I offer an invitation to the esteemed Capt. Wigglesworth and the Officers of HMS Stout to visit and coordinate with the crew of the Orange Mermaid durin our Defense of the Crown Colony of Long Beach, on Saturday, at the 28th instance of the current month, Year of Our Lord 1720.. Why ye be surprised no more than us that the Governor of that Colony Himself be askin our humble ship to defend his harbor against marauding pirates, Spainiards, and forlorned Jacobites. This we do out of our great deference to the Crown and respect for the magnificence people of His Colony. The fact that the Governor does desire to reward our humble work with gold coin is a tribute to the generosity of our Royal Sovereign. I suppose his desire be based more on a lack of Royal Navy presence in the area than truly a measure of our inadequate military strategies. I think he maybe be lookin back to old Port Royal when they asked the buccaneers to defend er against the Spanish. Regardless, we shall establish a strong defense for the colony on a pier over lookin the ocean. The waters in this are not safe for the navigation of your man-of-war, but we shall happily entreat you and your officers to liaise with us and do what assistance ye can in the waters outside the Colony.
That be the silliest thing I've ever seen...apparently town council's in the UK has far too many bags o' coin to throw away on stupidity than to 'ave respect for one o' yer own!
David Waterman is both a Firefighter at Battersea station and a former trooper with the 2nd Royal Tank Regiment...as well as a father of four (tougher job than the other two, I'll wager).
English pig dog - good to meet you in NO sorry about not making the party but me and my other crashed and burned in our room. See ya next time! Rev. Morrigan Blythe

I be hopin that the Frenchies not be treatin ye too bad in New Arlens. I be most thankful fer the great honor you an yer mates be bestowin on us by hostin the farewell party on board yer ship. That was right fine hospitality as it were. I am sure if it had been on the high seas that yer hospitality might just be a bit more explosive, never mind ye that. T'was right nice of ye and ye have me thanks and that of Cantankerous as well, fer sure.
Please don't be taken too much offense to the French authorites impoundin yer ship an all. I be duty bound to report those that would interfer with lawful slavage as it were. Why I was just standin up fer the right of the common seaman and make people aware of naviagtion hazards, as it were. I be sure that if n and when there gets to be a British envoy in New Arlens it be all straightened out.
God Save the King,
Martin "Greydog" Blackwheel Captain, Orange Mermaid
I have no fear of the hangmans noose, I've danced the Tyburn jig twice already like me Grandad.... since the Royal British Navy be issuing threats and proxys to all pirates in New Orleans and since they have been given letters of marque by Old King George to arrest, detain and hang all pirates and capture our booty, both on the high seas and ashore. The Port of New Orleans will be a harbor full of crazied pirates this month ready to do battle along with the Buccaneers of Tortuga... so keep a weathered eye and take refuge with yer brethren of the accord.

We be the Buccaneers of Tortuga and as such we are afforded the right of PARLAY and PARDON. The Royal British Navy may find there nary be a rope, a noose nor a gallows that can hold us fer long....

We'll ye be leadin a convoy to New Orleans in April? We might be sailin at the same time and would be seekin the comfort of the Royal Navy to protect us from all the vile pirates that seem to be about. If so, do ye have the route, names of the men of war sailin, schedule, and various ships manifests you could be sharin?
Just to help in our decision, of course.
God Save the Royal Navy,
